I am a freelance writer, novelist, publicist and once upon a time production associate living in Baltimore City. My written body of work spans across a wide range of subjects; from the affects of
brand marketing on the urban consumer to eating disorders of young Fijian teenagers. I have been published in a variety of media including print and online, as well as television; I have written copy
for on-air talent for WETA, a PBS affiliate station in the Washington, D.C. area. I have freelanced as a script supervisor , as well as a script and production assistant. I have several video
production credits listed as a freelancer for Washington D.C.’s award-winning media production company, Interface Media Group, and I also television credits in several major PBS taped performances
such as The National Memorial Day Concert (2002), WETA/PBS Performance: Nathan the Wise (2002), On Stage at The Kennedy Center: Richard Rodgers Gala (2002), On Stage at The Kennedy Center: Mark Twain
Prize Honoring Whoopi Goldberg (2001), and In Performance at The White House (2001). I am a contributor to the award-winning online independent weekly Brandchannel.com (www.brandchannel.com), and I
have also been published in BET Weekend Magazine, E the Environmental Magazine, DC One Magazine, Black Issues Book Review, Heart and Soul Magazine, and NYC literary journals Freedom Rag and Longshot.
I have interviewed such renowned luminaries as 1999 Miss Universe Mpule Kwelagobe, the late photographer and filmmaker Gordon Parks, the CEO of Johnson Publishing Company Linda-Johnson Rice and
legendary jazz pianist McCoy Tyner. I’m also one of the several hundred contributing writers to the 8-volume set, The African American National Biography (Oxford University Press), edited by famed
scholars Henry Louis Gates Jr. and Evelyn Higginbotham.
